Ricardo Romeu is a results-driven leader with expertise managing multifunctional groups and product development. He has nearly two decades of proven experience in creating effective functional strategies for system level performance and customer focus.

As Alluvionic’s Vice President of Engineering Romeu is focused on design solution and business development, management of the company’s highly-skilled engineering resources and its technology innovations.

Prior to joining Alluvionic, Romeu was employed with Lighting Science Group, a global leader in digital lighting solutions and technologies. He also worked with DRS Tactical System, the leading designer and manufacturer of ultra-rugged, commercial off-the-shelf computerized systems and integrated peripheral products for the military and industrial markets as a principal mechanical engineer. He held senior engineering and sales positions with companies such as Proside Inc., Motorola and Rand Worldwide.

Applying his comprehensive engineering knowledge Romeu has three success stories resulting in a 13% increase in product margin; management of an interdisciplinary team design resulting in a 99.98% QA reliability and the third one involved driving efficiency by designing individual functional parts into a single injection molded system reducing part count by 50% and cost by 33%.

Romeu is a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Minor in Math and Spanish. He received his Private Pilot ASEL from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida in 2008 and an Instrument ASEL from Voyager Aviation in Merritt Island, Florida in 2011. Among Romeu’s accreditations and research include four patents, nine filings and two published papers; as well as being a Certified KEMA auditor and Motorola Lean Six Sigma.
