Tip of the Week 07/25/2016: Microsoft Project

In Microsoft Project, selecting that a task is effort driven means the total task work will remain the same if you add or remove resources (units). If you add a resource, the total amount of work effort will be spread among all of the resources, including the new ones, thereby reducing task duration. Understanding these settings is key to understand how MS Project works.
