Alluvionic is Making Waves by Earning SBA 8(a) Small Business Certification

Federal Business Development Program Offers Access to New Economic Opportunities to Develop and Grow this Brevard County Business

Alluvionic, an innovative solutions provider that services clients with any project in any industry through project management, process improvement and engineering product design, is proud to announce it has received 8(a) Certification from the Small Business Administration (SBA).  After completing an extensive application and certification process to ensure it met the program’s high standards, Alluvionic was granted entrance into the coveted federal program on September 6, 2018.

“We are very excited to have this certification and recognize the opportunity it gives to Alluvionic,” says Wendy Romeu, PMP, President and CEO.  “With this certification we will have access to opportunities to expand our business and continue to deliver the highest quality services and solutions to our customers and to the federal government.  This is a stepping stone to establishing more long-term relationships with federal and state agencies and for Alluvionic to be a contractor of choice.”

Alluvionic provides capabilities across a number of core competencies including Project and Program Management, Process Improvement, as well as Risk Management, Compliance, and Engineering Services.  The company has had steady growth since it launched in 2013 and has built a solid infrastructure which will support the further growth expected through this certification.

The 8(a) Business Development program assists small, disadvantaged businesses in gaining access to government contracting. The program lasts for nine years, consisting of a four-year developmental stage, and a five-year transition stage.   It allows Alluvionic to pursue sole source federal and state government contracts and set aside contracts allocated to 8(a) certified companies.  Companies are subject to annual reviews and systematic evaluation from the SBA district office throughout the program.

Recently, Alluvionic has made headlines by becoming an official partner with the CMMI Institute.  As a CMMI Institute Partner, Alluvionic is licensed to provide official CMMI Institute services to help other organizations and individuals to adopt new and improved technologies.  It was also named a finalist by GrowFL for the 2018 Florida Companies to Watch awards program.
