Alluvionic Named a PMI Project of the Year Finalist

Alluvionic, Inc., a firm specializing in project management, process improvement, product development, training and cybersecurity, has been named one of six international finalists for the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project of the Year Award  for its Launch Checklist Modernization Project for the 45th Space Launch Delta (45 SLD) and the United States Space Force (USSF). Alluvionic was selected to present this project to the PMI’s Award Committee for consideration in this highly selective global award.

With over 300 chapters worldwide and nearly 700,000 members, PMI is a leading authority in project management, committed to advancing the profession on a global scale. The PMI Project of the Year Award celebrates the contributions of exceptional project leaders from across the globe. Finalists produce positive project outcomes that contribute to a better future in a variety of industries. The Project of the Year Award recognizes excellence in project management practices, including superior organizational results, innovation, and positive impacts on society.

Alluvionic’s Launch Checklist Modernization Project helps ensure Project Assurance® for military, civil and space exploration, and is now in daily use by the USSF as they provide launch authority for the U.S. Eastern Range.

“Alluvionic was honored to play a role in our nation’s space exploration efforts with the Space Force Launch Checklist Modernization Project,” said Alluvionic President and CEO, Wendy Romeu. “To be recognized for this project by PMI, especially being headquartered in America’s space hub on Florida’s Space Coast, is an extreme source of pride for the entire Alluvionic family. It not only validates our commitment to excellence but also highlights the significance of the work being done here at Patrick Space Force Base.”

The Checklist Modernization Project delivered an integrated collaborative checklist solution to coordinate critical decision-making for rocket launches managed by the USSF Eastern Range. Alluvionic proposed an innovative dashboard-based solution through the Smartsheet Gov COTS process improvement software. As a Smartsheet Solutions Provider, Alluvionic’s Smartsheet SMEs were able to implement this dashboard-based solution in just two months, achieving full automation of a significant subset of manual launch checklists used by the Eastern Range in the days, hours, and minutes leading up to a rocket launch. The Checklist Modernization Project objectives were achieved in alignment with the project scope, and were delivered on time and on budget.
