Exciting things are happening at Alluvionic! We continue to experience tremendous growth and continued success and are grateful to our clients, vendors and above all, our team for continuing to deliver outstanding results.
As a woman-owned business and example as a rising female entrepreneur, we are excited to announce that we have completed our certification with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). This organization is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S. and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs. Having this certification validates that Alluvionic is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women. This world-class certification standard is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands, as well as many states, cities and government entities. WBENC is also an approved Third-Party Certifier for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program. In order for Alluvionic to achieve WBENC Certification, we had to complete a formal documentation and site visit process which was administered by one of WBENC’s 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC Certification gives Alluvionic the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members and government agencies.
We held our second annual Microsoft Project Bootcamp and it was a success. Our PMP Project Management Bootcamp took place in August with two consecutive weekends to teach the fundamentals of project management following the Project Management Institute (PMI)® global standard.
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with an international organization Risk Decisions based in the UK. Risk Decisions works with customers to power growth and sustainability through risk management. The team of technical designs the right risk management strategies to enable risk opportunity management and drive your business’s goals. Look for our Risk Management Seminar in October.
Our team is growing and as a result, so is our office! Currently, we have 1,200 square feet of office space, but by the end of the year, we will grow to more than 2,400 square feet. Our address will stay the same, but we will have more space to accommodate our growing team of professionals! With this growth, we are proud to announce that we have recruited Nick Eskew to our team as Alluvionic’s Director of Programs. Prior to joining Alluvionic, Nick spent eight years at Lockheed Martin, in various positions with the most recent being Senior Project Engineer. In that role, he led a team of engineers in completing complex projects involving product design and manufacturing. He also worked with United Space Alliance supporting the Space Shuttle Program for three years.
Finally, we want to celebrate the accomplishments of two team members that participated in our PMP Bootcamp earlier this year. Rebecca Granger and Adam Mela have earned their PMP certification as a result of our training – we are very proud of both of them!
